八、结束语
本文介绍了一种宽带接入网络——WMN。作为一种新型的网络,由于其组网的快速灵活性、节点的分布性等优点,WMN可以提供高速的接入速率,更是优于其他的接入方式。此外,由于其以少量的基础设施,构成覆盖范围广的高速无线网络,投资较小,技术相对成熟,网络建设时间短,便于升级。对于网络运营商具有巨大的诱惑力。我们认为,WMN既是WLAN的延伸,又可以作为3G的补充,解决了接入网的瓶颈问题。WMN在战场、救灾等特殊领域有着不可替代的作用,同时在我们的日常公共通信服务中也有着巨大的应用潜力。因此无线网格网技术将给无线宽带领域带来重大变革。
